Booking & Payment

It is advisable to check availability before sending a deposit. In order to confirm a booking a £100 non-refundable deposit will be required per chalet or static caravan. For tents and tourers a non-refundable deposit of one night will be required on booking. Bookings without a deposit will only be held as a provisional booking for 7 days and will not be confirmed until a deposit has been received and cleared. Subject to acceptance of the booking, the guest becomes liable for the full balance of the rental no later than 6 weeks prior to arrival. Should a booking be made within 6 weeks of arrival, full payment must be made at time of booking. Failure to pay the balance of rent by the due date will be treated as cancellation and any deposit paid will not be refunded. Although you may have been allocated a pitch we reserve the right to move your booking to a similar pitch should unforeseen circumstances arise.

Dalraddy Holiday Park reserve the right to change the terms and conditions at any time, all the latest terms and conditions will be online and available at request.

Dalraddy holiday Park acts as a letting agent to our Rental Chalets and Static Caravan owners.

Cancellations & Change of booking

In the event of cancellation, which must be given by e-mail to dhp@alvie-estate.co.uk , every effort will be made to re-let the property. Should the property not be re-let, the booking deposit will be forfeited. Should less than 6 weeks’ notice be given, the Guest is still liable for the balance of rent due and only if the period is successfully re-let will the Guest be released from paying the balance of rent due.

Tent and tourers must let us know in writing, in the event of cancellation the booking deposit will be forfeited. If you need to change your booking please be aware that there may be an admin charge.

If you leave Dalraddy Holiday Park early for any circumstances we would not refund for any unused nights.

The Park are not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the event they are prevented from fulfilling your booking as a result of circumstances beyond their control. Such circumstances shall include (but not be limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events (“Force Majeure”). We recommend that you have adequate holiday insurance in place to cover this.

Park Rules

Noise: Dalraddy Holiday Park is a holiday park managed primarily for families, outdoor enthusiasts and those enjoying nature. We ask that all noise be kept to a minimum and no music to be played after 10pm until 8am. If anyone does not respect the park rules the staff at Dalraddy may ask you to leave the park or refuse entry. If any of these circumstances arise, no refund of monies will be given.

Fire: We are a wooded area so there is a strict no fires policy, except in designated areas. Disposable BBQ’s are not allowed. Please use BBQ’s which are electric or gas ones. Please be respectful of the area and please ensure that they do not burn the grass, damage picnic tables or surrounding surfaces. They must be extinguished by 10pm. Staff at Dalraddy will extinguish any fires they consider hazardous or a nuisance to other customers.

BBQs – Disposable BBQ’s are not allowed.

Speed Limits: must be adhered to at all times. Please keep to the speed limits of the park which are 10mph. Persistent offenders will be banned from driving in Dalraddy Holiday Park.

Children: are the responsibility of their parents/guardian and must be supervised at all times. The play park is suitable for children 12 years and under. No child should climb on the roof of the sliding frame. If there are any breakages or perceived hazards in the vicinity of the play park, please report this to a member of staff.

Insurance: Customers and guests are strongly advised to take out holiday insurance to cover loss or damage to personal effects and cancellation expenses. We insure our premises against fire etc. but under no circumstances can we be held liable to loss or damage to customers or guests property.

Arrival and Departure: For all rental chalets and statics check-in is from 4pm on the day of arrival and check out time no later than 10am on the day of departure.
Tent and Tourers must depart their pitch by 12pm and arrivals are welcome after 2pm.

Late Arrivals: are allowed however, please notify booking office on 01479 810330 in advance if your arrival is after 5pm or out with scheduled arrival times. All late arrivals must collect their late arrival sheet from the red late arrivals box to the left of the reception door and proceed to the pitch that is allocated on this sheet. Failure to go on to the correct pitch may result in you being asked to move.

Security Gate: at the entrance is closed & locked at 11pm and opened at 7am. The Warden can be contacted in an emergency on 07563 146 130.

Vehicle Parking: Only one car is permitted to be parked beside a chalet/caravan. There is parking elsewhere on the site for additional vehicles.

Conditions of Tenancy: The number of people occupying a property must not exceed the number shown in the details of the property. We reserve the right to refuse entry or revoke the booking if this condition is not observed. The property shall be used solely for holiday purposes and customers, or their guests shall not sub-let the hired premises, or any part of the hired premises, or any equipment from the hired premises. Customers and guests shall allow the owner or his agent or employees entry to the premises for all reasonable purposes. The contract affected on confirmation of Booking relates to a holiday let only and is therefore not an assured tenancy in terms of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988. This confers on the guest the right to occupy the property for the period agreed for holiday purposes only. Dalraddy Holiday Park caters primarily for families, couples, individuals, and interest groups, we do not allow stag or hen parties. A person booking for such a party may be asked to leave in which case all payments made will be forfeited.

Breakages & Cleaning: Guests are liable for any damage that occurs during their occupancy. If you do damage or break anything, please let us know as soon as possible so it can be repaired or replaced quickly with the minimum inconvenience to you or subsequent guests. Breakages will incur a charge. Guests should maintain the premises and contents in a clean and tidy condition and leave it in a similar condition on departure. In the event that the property is not left clean and tidy on departure, we reserve the right to make an additional charge to the guest to cover the extra cost of cleaning.

Bed Linen: is provided in chalets and static caravans. We also supply oven gloves and tea towels. Guests should supply their own personal towels and bathmats.

Lost or Forgotten: We will return or hold on to any lost or forgotten property belonging to you however you will reimburse us for the cost of postage. Lost property will only be held for a short period of time.

Dogs: are welcome on our site and some other household pets, please enquire before booking. All dogs/pets should be kept under proper and close control at all times within the Park. Dogs are allowed in certain accommodation, please enquire when booking. Please do not let them on the furniture or in the bedrooms. Dogs should not be left unattended. Avoid your dog causing concern to other people and animals by keeping your dog either close at your heel or, preferably, on a short lead. Please clean up after your dog, this should be bagged and disposed of in the bins provided for this purpose around the park. Do not allow your dog to approach animals or people uninvited. Do not allow your dog to chase, molest or injure wildlife.

Wi-Fi: A Wi-Fi connection is provided by the Estate for our guests use in the Park Reception area. The Estate cannot be held responsible for the strength of the signal nor if the connection becomes unavailable at any time.

TV Signal: Please be aware that it can be very hard to obtain a TV signal in this area, Caravans may not be able to obtain signal. The Estate cannot be held responsible for the strength of the signal or if there is no signal.

Firearms: Firearms are only permitted to be stored or used on Dalraddy Holiday Park with the written permission of the landowner. Injured, distressed or dangerous wildlife should be reported to staff who will organise a vet, gamekeeper, or equivalent person to deal with the situation.

Spacing and Parking: Caravans and motorhomes must be a minimum of 6 metres apart. Awnings must be at least 3 metres away from structures on neighbouring pitches.

Cycling: Please keep to paths and roadways. No cycling between pitches, chalets, caravans, over flowerbeds or around the immediate vicinity of the shop / reception area.

Tradesmen / Visitors: For security we would ask that all tradesmen/visitors please report to Reception on arrival. All tradesmen are required to provide details of their public liability insurance.

Electrical PAT Testing: Any holiday properties must have all electrical appliances safety PAT tested on an annual basis. Please ensure that a note of the work carried out is given to Reception for our records.

Site Licence: The Park Site Licence only permits properties to be occupied for holiday use only. There should be no unlawful use of the properties, or any business operated from the property or occupation of the property for other than holiday purposes.

Replacing Caravans: If you wish to replace your caravan at any time, you must apply to do so in writing with the make, model, and size of the replacement caravan. No caravan replacements can take place without the written permission of the Park Management.

Letting / Subletting: Letting or subletting or caravans or chalets can only be carried out with the prior written approval of Park Management. A “Holiday Home Letting Registration Form” should be completed each year; these are available at Reception. Units let must meet the minimum standards set for holiday lettings as stipulated by Visit Scotland.

Alterations/Storage/Decking: We would appreciate it if owners could refrain from using the underside of their caravans for storage. If owners wish to put up sheds, balconies, decking etc., specifications and locations must be agreed in writing by the Park Management giving approval before any work is commenced. The Park reserves the right to refuse permission if the request contravenes the Site Licence, if it is deemed to be unsightly or encroaches on the amenity or use of a neighbouring pitch.

Gas Checks & Insurance: All gas appliances in your holiday home should be serviced annually to keep them in a safe and efficient condition. This is only a legal requirement if sub-letting your property. However, it is policy of Dalraddy Holiday Park that each holiday home has an annual Gas Safety check carried out by a gas installer that is “Gas Safe” registered. All necessary repairs must also be carried out by a “Gas Safe” registered engineer. This is both a legal requirement and in the interest of both your own safety and others. Once the gas safety check has been carried out, please provide the reception with a copy of the certificate. We also ask for an annual copy of insurance for all holiday homes to be provided and handed to reception.

If anyone does not respect the park rules the staff at Dalraddy has the right to ask you to leave the park or refuse entry. If any of these circumstances arise, no refund of monies would be given.
